Teen H.Y.P.E (Helping Youth by Providing Education) Peer Educator Application

Program Description:

Teen H.Y.P.E is a youth development program that provides teens with leadership opportunities through peer education. Peer educators use theatrical presentations that include skits, spoken word, dance and rap to explore social issues related to teens. Peer educators also plan and participate in service learning projects through out the year.

Peer Educators are compensated in the form of a stipend at the end of the fiscal year. The stipend amount is $300.00 per youth. Please complete all sections of the following application. If necessary, attach additional sheets for your responses. Applications should be delivered, mailed, or faxed to the address on the bottom of the page. Applications are accepted year around. Interviews are conducted in August and throughout the year as openings become available.

Requirements to Apply
1. Must be at least 13 years old
2. Possess strong leadership and communication skills
3. Have reliable transportation to and from meetings and events
